Heading to the Hogle Zoo this morning as my sister has never been there before and it's on her list of things to do.
The zoo is a smaller and quaint zoo. We see elephants/zebras/giraffes/CA sea lions/Harbor seals and the usual zoo species.
Highlights was the male lowland gorilla who is pressed against the glass observing the people passing by and the baby Sandcats (so cute)!
After a quick lunch, we head to see the Fall colors in Millcreek Canyon (and I know they'll be great because I was there a week ago).
We head 1/2 way down the canyon thru the "firey" colored hillsides to the Burch Hollow trail head. Up a tiny little hill and we reach the Pipeline Trail. A nice flat trailhead that sits 50 - 100+ ft above the canyon floor depending on where you are on the trail. We're at the terminus and but they head west all the way to the Salt Lake Valley. We start west.
We don't go but probably one mile but it's an amazing, colorful walk!!
Good day!
